This may not be New England, but London Grill located in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia, is heating things up with Lobster Month this August! All month long (this August) London Grill will serve up a mouth watering Lobster Seafood Special menu and new Summer Cocktail menu, so delicious you may need to pinch yourself.

“August is the perfect time of year to take it easy and give in to the summer with good food, good drinks and good company,” says co-owner Terry Berch McNally. “That’s why we created our Lobster Month menu and cooling cocktails such as our sparkling white sangria and signature margaritas – a pitcher to share among friends makes even the hottest dog days of summer glide right by.”

Chef Michael McNally’s lobster specials will include: Lobster Bisque with fresh herbs and chunks of lobster meat ($7); New England Lobster Roll, a half-pound of lobster salad served on a split, toasted and buttery New England roll ($14); Lobster Bake, a half-pound lobster with corn on the cob, new potatoes, clams and spicy chorizo sausage ($18); and New England Lobster Dinner, a small salad to start followed by a whole one-and-a-half pound lobster with new potatoes, corn on the cob and drawn butter, finished off with cobbler for dessert ($28).

The restaurant also boasts a refreshing assortment of summer cocktails, such as: The Scientist, smoked lemonade with basil simple syrup, Powers Irish whiskey and club soda; Caipirinha, Leblon cachaça, muddled lime and sugar; Dark & Stormy, Gosling’s Black Seal rum with Reed’s ginger beer; Signature Margaritas, made with guests’ choice of seven premium tequilas, plus top-shelf orange liqueur and the option to add a seasonal fruit puree; Sparkling White Sangria with orange vodka, Licor 43, a Spanish liqueur, strawberries and mint; and their outside-only Bucket of Beer, six 12-ounce cans of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for just $12. Summer drinks will range in price from $7 for individual servings to $30 for pitchers.

Striking a perfect balance between a cozy neighborhood pub and fine dining restaurant, London Grill has remained one of the city’s most popular destinations for over 20 years. Located in the historic Fairmount neighborhood, a short walk from the newly opened Barnes Foundation, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Franklin Institute and its neighboring museums, the restaurant and bar has become a culinary standpoint with a reputation for creative and bold menus. London Grill’s bar also impresses with a rare and unusual selection of spirits, a highly celebrated cocktail list and a reputation for serving the latest and greatest craft beer.
