Pop-Up Shops Popping Up All over Philly This December!

‘Tis the season for shopping, and with the holidays giving us all an extra reason to shop til we drop many retailers have Pop-Up Shops forming around the city. A Pop-Up shop is a limited shopping event where a retailers sets up shop at a temporary location. Here are a few pop-up shops that will be popping up in a neighborhood near you.

 

Wednesday, December 12th

CakeStyle brings you high fashion clothing and accessories for all your holiday buying needs. CakeStyle is the country’s first virtual styling service for women on the go. This is also a great shopping day if you’re looking for a little something for yourself (wink-wink). There will be opportunities to win great jewelry from local jewelry designer Adornia, discounts with CakeStyle and to pop the top off this event, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Hamels Foundation.

Where: The Sporting Club at the Bellevue, 224 S. Broad Street, 8th Floor

When: December 12, 2012 from 8 am to 8 pm

 

December 7 – December 28, 2012

“The Perfect Gift Store” will be popping up alongside other famous Manayunk retailers beginning December 7th through December 28th. Offering a variety of great gift options for everyone on your list. “I believe I know the typical Manayunk customer very well and I think they will be able to find the perfect gift in my shop,” says owner/operator Keiwana McKinney. Lenox tableware, outdoor essential winter ware, all kinds of pet gifts, and much more will line the walls at A Perfect Gift Shop. These special wares together make the perfect gift for anyone on your list!

When: December 7th through December 28th from 12 p.m. and 8 p.m.

 

December 14 – 16, 2012

For one weekend only “Union Stock” will offer wares to local shoppers along Main Street in Manayunk. “Union Stock focuses on goods made by local artisans,” says shop owner Christina Smith. “Products will include, reclaimed barn wood furniture, hand printed textiles and pillows, screen-printed baby items, hand illustrated cards and prints, candles, vintage-style marquee lights, handmade jewelry, and more. Over 15 artisans are participating in the shop, including myself, a local printmaker.”

Where: 4347 Main St, Manayunk

When: December 14 for an opening reception from 6p.m. – 8 p.m. and between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for the remainder of the weekend.
