Today will be a day in history as Philly gives birth to a new dessert we are sure will become an instant favorite throughout the phoodie community. Goldberg’s Peanut Chews, a classic candy of peanut and chocolate goodness, made right here in Philadelphia since 1917; has teamed up with the innovative and edgy ice cream team, Little Baby’s Ice Cream. Little Baby’s will offer a brand new ice cream flavor, Goldberg’s Peanut Chews Vanilla Molasses, starting today (October 5th) at their newest retail location in Fishtown, Philadelphia.

Goldberg’s Peanut Chews, now owned by Just Born Inc., makers of Peeps, Mike and Ike, and Hot Tamales, have been manufactured in Philadelphia for almost a century. This classic candy treat is kosher and gluten-free, and the dark chocolate variety is also vegan-friendly.

Little Baby’s Ice Cream, founded in 2011 by three local men, serves up super-premium, handmade ice creams which are concocted in small batches and served most notably from vending tricycles. Little Baby’s recently opened their headquarters in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, but still frequents neighborhoods, festivals, concerts, and other happening spots
