What better place to celebrate our country’s independence than America’s birthplace, right here in Philadelphia! Philly has long been known for their fabulous firework displays in the fourth , drawing thousands of spectators from in and around the city itself.

Events for July 2nd

Spirit of Philadelphia 4th of July Cruise 

Nosh on a buffet, enjoy cocktails, dance to a DJ and catch the fireworks over Penn’s Landing on one of the Spirit of Philadelphia’s two fireworks dinner cruises. Cruises are  6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. for $67.90 per person.

Philly 4th of July Jam

1050 N. Hancock St, Philadelphia 2 p.m.-9 p.m. 

Join Quincy Harris for a full day of music, food trucks, and fashion from Philadelphia Fashion Week.

Events for July 4th

CELEBRATION OF FREEDOM CEREMONY
Steps of Independence Hall, 6th & Chestnut Streets 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.

A patriotic and inspiring morning full of music, speeches and a reading of excerpts from the Declaration of Independence will make this Fourth of July unforgettable.

PHILADELPHIA INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE
Throughout Historic Philadelphia 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Witness more than 5,000 participants as they celebrate America’s birthday marching through the nation’s most historic square mile.

LET FREEDOM RING
Independence Square, 5th & Market Streets 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.

The ceremony starts on Independence Square and concludes with the symbolic Liberty Bell tapping. *Note: To view bell tapping, be in the Liberty Bell Center by 1:30 p.m.

PHILLY 4TH OF JULY JAM & FIREWORKS
Benjamin Franklin Parkway, 20th Street to Eakins Oval 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.

THE ROOTS are back as our house band for the “Largest Free Concert in America,” alongside JOHN MAYER, DEMI LOVATO, JILL SCOTT, NE-YO, GRACE POTTER, J. COLE along with BEN TAYLOR other special guests. An amazing fireworks display over the Philadelphia Museum of Art will follow this amazing performance

 

Events for July 6th

Fireworks Spectacular
Independence Seaport Museum

Guests will enjoy prime views of the fireworks overlooking the Delaware River and family-friendly entertainment, face painters and crafts throughout the Museum. Light refreshments will be available for purchase while supplies last. Tickets include Museum admission and exhibits will be open throughout the evening. Historic Ships will close at 7 p.m.

FREE for members, regular price admission for visitors. $5 after 5pm will not be offered

 

Spirit of Philadelphia 4th of July Cruise

WEEK LONG EVENTS

National Constitution Center’s Independence Week

The NCC is celebrating the birth of our nation with five days of events. Throughout Independence Week, guests can pay tribute to the U.S. with flag etiquette activities, the interactive “Fourth of July Show,” presentations on Francis Scott Key and the Battle of Fort McHenry, patriotic crafts, face-painting, art displays and more. Free with admission

Celebrate the 4th at the Nest

Indoor oasis Nest is hosting kid-friendly play events all week long. Both members and non-members are invited to join in events from tag to tumbling, and kids can score patriotic giveaways, too. July 1st-5th, 10 am to 12pm. Free for members; $15 for non-members.
