National Constitution Center

The National Constitution Center will honor the nation’s servicemen and women during a Veterans Day celebration.
The National Constitution Center’s Veterans Day celebration begins at 9:15 a.m. on the Center’s front lawn with a flag raising ceremony. The day concludes with a flag lowering ceremony at 4:00 p.m. Throughout the day, visitors also can participate in hands-on flag etiquette workshops, during which visitors will discover the history and symbolism behind the U.S. flag.
Then, in homage to our nation’s servicemen and women, the Center will hold a moment of silence and a wreath laying ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on the Grand Hall Overlook, featuring the Drexel University Color Guard and a performance of “Taps.”
Patriotic Crafts and Activities Children and their families can make their own American flags and star wreaths. They also will have the opportunity to write letters to service men and women currently serving in active duty.

FREE with museum admission. All Veterans FREE on Veterans Day. Event begins 9:15am to 4:00pm.

As the birthplace of the American Army, we remember and thank the brave men and women who served and are serving our country. Reception to follow in the Education Center. Free to the public. Service begins at 11 am.
