By Maria Lobron, for Philly Happening
Attention book lovers: Mark your calendars! At 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 13, Free Library of Philadelphia’s Parkway Central Library, 1901 Vine Street (between 19th and 20th Streets on the Parkway), will be hosting a free book-signing event with the best-selling author Terry McMillan for the launch of her new novel, I Almost Forgot About You. The library will be selling McMillan’s book and a portion of the proceeds will go to FLP programs.
Other famous works of McMillan’s, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, and Waiting to Exhale, were adapted into popular films.
McMillan’s new novel, I almost Forgot About You, which is released today, June 7th, tells the story of Dr. Georgia Young, who seemingly has it all: great friends, family, and a successful career, but lacks fulfillment in her life. Dr. Young boldly quits her job in search of happiness and a second chance at love.
