Last night, Philly Happening was out and about on the town– the Fishtown, that is. With warmer temperatures and clear skies, it was the perfect night. After last weekend’s polar-vortex-like conditions, everyone’s excitement and relief of the reprieve in the weather, was tangible.
Under the yellow-glow of the Fishtown streetlamps, the streets were teeming with eager nightlifers. The whirring of the line of foodtrucks filled the air, the scent of warm tacos wafted through the breeze, the pulse of the bass flooded through open tavern doors, and $3 Kenzingers flowed from the taps like a golden river of booze. The character of the night, the place, and the people was undeniable. Here are 6 more reasons to love Fishtown nightlife:
1.) Arcades in Bars.
Barcade, 1114 Frankford Ave., is a happening place to be. Good beer and good games make a good combination.
2.) Food Trucks.
Between tacos, meatballs, pizza, sandwiches, and pie, the food trucks of Fishtown have got your late-night cravings covered. What more could you want?
3.) Cranberry Hibiscus beer on tap.
Last night, Bottle Bar East, 1308 Frankford Ave., had this unique, sweet, yet sour, pink-colored beer on tap: Coppertail Whoops (Cranberry Hibiscus Berliner).

5.) Random Funny Street signs.

Sweet or savory fillings enveloped in flaky, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth pie-crust just about sums up all that is amazing about Pie-Stand.
