Philadelphia’s Movers & Shakers were nominated by readers and selected by Philly Happening and its Publishers at Happenings Media.
Over the course of the month, we will be shining a spotlight on each one of the amazing people who made the list.
The next mover and shaker we’d like to honor is Kory Michael Aversa, CEO and President of Aversa PR & Events.
Kory is an award-winning public relations professional, event planner, and social media guru with more than 15 years of experience. Originally from Utica and Albany, NY, Aversa graduated from Utica College of Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations. Since moving to Philadelphia, Aversa has been a champion in the nonprofit community. In 2012, he was chair and founder of the new Nonprofit Resource Committee for the Philadelphia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. In 2013, Aversa was elected to the board of directors for PRSA and continues to oversee the Nonprofit Resource Committee.
In his spare time, Aversa enjoys traveling and playing flag football with the Greater Philadelphia Flag Football League.
