Attendees of Saturday’s annual South Street Spring Festival will get to do plenty of pole dancing–maypole dancing that is.

The annual festival will close down eight blocks between Front and 8th Streets  to ring in the month of May with music and dancing around the city’s largest maypole. If that’s not enough to make you go, read on for five reasons to check out this Saturday’s festival:

1.)  The festival runs all day, from 11 a.m.-8 p.m.. This gives you ample time to check out the activities, sites, and sounds on all eight of the festival blocks.

2.) Lots and lots of street food! A smorgasbord of culinary delights!

3.) Lots of authentic German beer. (Need we say more?)

4.) A pop-up grassy lawn will be set up at Headhouse Plaza. Lounge around in a lawn chair and enjoy your food and drink, along with games, beach balls, and more.

5.) Live music! There will be three stages and seven performance areas spaced out throughout the festival.
