In honor of the 35th Anniversary of Star Trek: The Motion Picture the Philadelphia Film Society – in partnership with Geekadelphia – will be presenting a six-day retrospective of the original Star Trek film series in 35mm format.
Released by Paramount Pictures in 1979, the film is the theatrical continuation of the storyline based on the Star Trek television series, which chronicled the space adventures of the crew of the USS Enterprise.
The six film series will feature film discussions, Star Trek memorabilia giveaways and raffles, themed-trivia, costume contests, and more. The series will run from Friday, December 5 to Wednesday, December 10 at the PFS Roxy Theater on 2023 Sansom Street in Philadelphia.
The six films that will be shown are:
Friday, December 5 at 8:00 p.m. – Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Saturday, December 6 at 8:00 p.m. – Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Sunday, December 7 at 8:00 p.m. – Star Trek III: The Search for Spock
Monday, December 8 at 8:00 p.m. – Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
Tuesday, December 9 at 8:00 p.m. – Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
Wednesday, December 10 at 8:00 p.m. – Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
