March 2nd through March 10, 2013, this annual event will take over the Philadelphia Convention Center with a “Brilliant” flower exhibition that is fun for all ages.

The Philadelphia Flower Show, hosted by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, is the largest indoor flower show of it’s kind, attracting more than 260,000 people annually. The Show features large-scale gardens, elaborate landscapes, and over-the-top floral creations. In addition to all the beautiful floral displays, hundreds of exhibitors are working hard to create stunning, British inspired attractions that will be nothing short of brilliant.

Regular admission to the show is $32 for adults, $22 for students and $17 for children. However the PHS has some terrific ticket pak’s this year such as the Family Fun Pak (4 tickets for just $70), as well as the PHS Duo Pak and Value Pak. PHS Kid Zone

This 2013 Flower Show brings you the all new Einstein Healthcare Network PHS Kids Zone, powered by Sprout. Here children are invited to learn about nature, healthy eating and being kind to others, in a creative and fun environment. The Kid Zone is complete with mini bean bag chairs, coloring activities, special guest appearances, a quiet area, and a giant tree that will be filled with handcrafted leaves from children. In addition a whole day is coined Family Day and centered around younger attendees and their grown-ups (March 10th).

Taking the Show to the Street

More than 70 Philadelphia business have found inspiration from this year’s Great Britain inspired theme “Brilliant” and have decorated their bloody storefronts for the 2012 Window & Lobby Decorating Contest. The 2013 contest includes businesses from Center City, Rittenhouse Row, Manayunk, Chestnut Hill, Kensington, Midtown Village, East Passyunk Avenue, Old City, University City, Fairmount, the South Street Headhouse District, and as far as Doylestown (Bucks County). Keep your eye out for a British Invasion in your neighborhood and send us pics of any you stumble upon.

The Hill Comes to the Flower Show

Chestnut Hill is heading to the Philadelphia Flower Show this year with lots of goodies for you. Be sure to visit their booth and enter to win daily prize baskets, such as “24 hours in Chestnut Hill.” Prize baskets will include meals, hotel stay, spa treatments, gift items, tickets to local attractions and more.
